Kings Wood Campground LLC is a veteran-owned outdoor destination being developed in Weirton, West Virginia. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive space for families, schools, veterans, and local nonprofits to enjoy camping, hands-on environmental education, heritage crafts, and wilderness skills.
We are dedicated to community engagement, offering a phased approach to amenities and programming. As we build out our facilities—including tent camping, a community center, rustic cabins, and RV sites—we invite you to join us in supporting our vision of a vibrant, accessible, and educational natural retreat.
Kings Wood Campground will open in phases: youth day camps and primitive camping first; followed by a community center, rustic cabins, and eventually seasonal RV parking. Each phase will expand opportunities for education, adventure, and group events.

Fun and educational day camps for youth focused on environmental education, wilderness skills, and traditional crafts, led by knowledgeable instructors in a safe outdoor setting.

Our upcoming community center will host group retreats, educational programs, workshops, and local events—serving as a multi-use year-round facility.

Experience nature up close with our primitive tent camping. Enjoy seclusion, starry nights, and nature trails—perfect for families, scouts, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Future amenities will include cozy rustic cabins for overnight stays and seasonal RV parking—offering comfort for longer getaways in the heart of nature.
Kings Wood Campground’s mission is to provide a welcoming, inclusive outdoor space where people of all backgrounds can connect with nature, foster environmental stewardship, and learn heritage skills. By partnering with local nonprofits, schools, and veteran groups, we aim to build a vibrant hub for education, recreation, and community connection in Weirton and beyond.
